Mission Statement
Outrageous Fortune Theatre Company is committed to the enrichment of community by sharing the wealth of theatre through education and performance inspired by integrity, responsibility, and the words of William Shakespeare.
Our History
OFTC was founded in 2004 by a group of local theatre artists dedicated to excellence in performance and arts education to serve the community. The company began performing in schools and planned the first Shakespeare in the Park. "To Shakespeare on his 440th" was conceived as a joyous celebration of the Bard's most famous works written exclusively for OFTC by Mr. Don Pasco and was performed free to the public in the Union Plaza Park in downtown El Paso in October of 2004.

OFTC began touring with a performance at the Las Cruces Renaissance Faire and was asked to return in 2005. The company's Teaching/Artist Program collaborated with the Chamizal National Memorial to bring children to the theatre in 2005 to see the outrageously funny TIS SHAKESPEARISH and this program was selected for the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster for 2006-2008. In August 2006, the annual Shakepeare in the Park finds a new home at the Chamizal National Memorial, El Paso's National Park.
